Becoming a Compassionate & Caring Christian - Luke 10 - Part 1

Pastor Larry Luffman • April 24, 2022

God is calling you to a deeper level of love, compassion, and caring.

Romans 12:20-21, “If thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink… Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Hearing the lawyer’s response, Jesus knew the man had the right answer (vs. 27), but not the right actions (vs. 28).

God is calling you to a life of compassion and caring.

Compassionate & caring Christians see those around them that are hurting and wounded.

When it comes to impacting lives for Christ, vision is very important (vs. 33).

John 4:35 - Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Listen! I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.

Your neighbor, as defined by Jesus’ parable, is the person that enters your life who is wounded and in need.

Wounded people cross our lives often, but so many times, we don’t see them.

We can become oblivious to the hurting hearts around us. There are wounded people all around us.

Some of the greatest opportunities you have in life to impact people come disguised as interruptions.
